Give, Golf, and Support Landis Adult Day Services
Melissa Kalicicki, Annual Gifts Officer
“I would tell anyone considering supporting Landis Adult Day Services to do it because it’s a very good cause and helps all of us,” Ruth shared.
Ruth is originally from Columbia, PA, and has been a client at Landis Adult Day Services since 2018. In the past, her career took her to California to work for an airline, sealing airline windows. She also liked working at QVC and Wilton Armetale for many years. She enjoys crafting and used to sell some of the creations she made. Eventually, she settled in Lititz with her daughter and son-in-law.
“I was home alone a lot. One time I fell and had a hard time getting back up. So my daughter thought it would be safer and better for me to have a place to go during the day. She took me to two places, and I knew immediately that Landis Adult Day Services was the right place for me. The people are wonderful and helpful and really care.”
The past few months have been especially tough on clients at Landis ADS because of the Coronavirus. They had to stay home and do virtual ADS. Meanwhile, the program continued to incur the overhead expenses of remaining open to provide no cost online programming.
However, with the golf tournament coming up on June 4, you have the opportunity to help! You can participate as a golfer or a patron. Your generosity gives Ruth a safe place to make friends and stay active. While her needs are met at Landis ADS, her family can go to work and know she’s safe. Your participation not only benefits clients but helps their loved ones as well. For more information, contact Jan Nikoloff, Advancement Events Coordinator, at email@example.com or 717-381-3580.
