Senior couple with grandkids

Caring for an aging loved one is an act of great selflessness, time, and commitment. Many family members understandably prefer to personally provide care for elderly relatives for as long as possible in order to increase their loved one’s comfort, peace of mind, independence, and time spent in their own home.

However, the demands of what is often around-the-clock care can weigh on caregivers. That’s why it’s important to be aware of the realities of caregiver fatigue and actively look for ways to ease your stress, find time to do the things that you enjoy, and take regular breaks to practice self-care.

The devoted and professional team of Landis Adult Day Services provides enriching support and activities for seniors during the day in a comfortable, home-like environment. We understand the needs of caregivers and seek to be the bridge between allowing you to care for your loved one and still find time to care for yourself.

One of the benefits of our program is the flexibility. Some clients attend 5 days a week whereas some attend only 1 or 2 days. There are full-day and half-day options and participants are free to arrive and leave at any point during hours of operation. While space availability plays a role in determining attendance, the needs of the client and caregivers are also a determining factor.

If you provide care for an aging loved one and need some time to yourself to run errands, enjoy hobbies, prevent burnout, or simply to practice self-care, consider reaching out to Landis Adult Day Services.
